The Rohit Shirt is cut wide through the chest and shoulders, with its body falling straight and boxy. The silhouette rests away from the torso, holding a balanced outline. Hand painted on hand spun Khadi cotton and hand finished, made by one tailor from beginning to end.
In early 2025, Kardo met Sohrai artist Manik Chand Mahto from Jorakath, Jharkhand, at Dastkar, a craft community event in New Delhi. Sohrai is a traditional mural art form practiced by tribal communities in Jharkhand, named after the winter harvest festival that celebrates fertility, nature, and life. This piece features his hand-painted motifs—depictions of animals, plants, and everyday life—rooted in the Sohrai tradition. The artwork is hand-painted on our hand-spun and handwoven khadi cotton from Udyog Bharti.
