Styling the Christmas Season

Festive dressing can feel like a lot at this time of year, so we turned to Penny and Nikki of @styleinthestix for their calm, considered approach. Great friends who both swapped London life for the beautiful rural county of Rutland, they now share their fashion creativity to inspire others along the way. To our delight, they’ve built a small capsule from our Christmas collection that works effortlessly across all the season’s plans - from drinks to winter walks.

This might sound overwhelming, but it doesn’t need to be. One simple rule Penny and Nikki swear by is:

“Don’t shop for the occasion - shop for what feels like you.”

We couldn’t agree more.

“You’re always more relaxed and confident when you dress in a way that feels true to your own style. If sparkles aren’t your vibe, you shouldn’t feel obliged to wear them.”

Every piece they selected works together to create a complete, easy festive capsule wardrobe.

Nikki wears the Levete Room Nessa Top and Trouser (both in Walnut).

“The co-ord is the ultimate saviour of time and mental energy - which always runs low at this time of year. We love this outfit: you’re party-ready in seconds. Just throw on the top and trousers and you’re done.”

“For a more casual take on a night out, the Nessa top looks fabulous paired with denim. It’s high–low dressing at its best. We love the dark wash and straight-leg style of these Girls of Dust Patty Boy jeans.”

Sticking with denim, adding a red sweatshirt keeps things practical while still giving a festive feel. Layer on the Bellerose Sidor scarf and Indi & Cold check coat to create a subtle pattern clash that adds interest - and warmth - for those beautiful winter walks.

“We chose the Levete Room skirt and Indi & Cold embroidered coat for a natural palette, blending cosy wool with luxurious silky viscose. The result? Effortlessly elegant textures that keep you looking festive and feeling comfortable.”

A pop of colour and the right accessories make the perfect finishing touches - no sequins necessary.

“Use jumpers and gorgeous scarves to elevate your style. Finish with a cross-body bag for a blend of ease and statement style. It’s not just practical; it adds that finishing touch.”

For this look, Penny and Nikki selected the Howlin’ Forevernevermore sweater in Mystic, the Bellerose Sidor scarf, and the Bellerose Rosie bag.
