Four Festive Looks, Styled by Angharad Jones

December brings its own rhythm - a mix of early-evening drinks, long-overdue catch-ups and those small, joyful gatherings that make this time of year feel special. To help navigate the season, we asked stylist and writer Angharad Jones to create a small edit of festive outfits using some of her favourite pieces from Maze.

What stood out most was her grounded approach to occasion dressing. As she put it:

“I don’t have to fall into the trap of wearing things just because they’re associated with this time of year.”
- Angharad Jones

Instead, she focuses on pieces she’ll feel at ease in - thoughtful shapes, good fabrics and silhouettes that work for the plans she actually has. The result is four looks that sit comfortably between dressed-up and effortless, moving easily from Christmas drinks to dinners and everything in between.

Look 1 - Levete Room Bronze Co-Ord

A matching top and trouser set in deep bronze: refined, interesting and quietly festive. The open-back detail and draped sleeves bring a touch of drama, while the wide-leg trousers keep the whole look relaxed.

Angharad describes this pair as pieces with “little details that make it feel special”, and she keeps the styling simple - soft gold jewellery, velvet flats and a small satin pouch. A look that works beautifully for evenings that call for something a little more polished.

Look 2 - Sessùn Cotton T-Shirt with Wide-Leg Trousers

A softer, unexpected take on festive dressing. Angharad pairs a cream cotton T-shirt with beautifully shaped trousers in a linen-blend fabric, finished with heeled sock boots and a satin pouch for a subtle lift.

As she says:

“A cotton T-shirt may not be the first thing you think of for festive dressing - which is exactly why I like it.”

The contrast of textures and the gentle shape of the trousers make this ideal for midweek pub meet-ups, house gatherings or any plan that sits on the more casual end of the scale.

Look 3 - Levete Room Trousers with a Fitted Black Top

A clean, all-black outfit with a defined waist and soft balloon sleeves. Using the same Levete Room trousers from Look 1, Angharad adds a fitted button-up top, creating a silhouette that feels intentional and quietly dressy.

It’s the kind of look that works for smarter dinners or evenings that call for something elevated without tipping into overly formal.

Look 4 - Folk Printed Vest with Sessùn Navy Trousers

A standalone piece with personality. The painterly Folk vest is the focal point here, draped into high-waisted, wide-leg trousers from Sessùn - a soft navy alternative to black. Gold jewellery that picks up the warm tones in the top, creating a look that feels expressive without being loud.

As Angharad notes, it’s a perfect option for the kind of party where you’ll be moving, dancing and warming up quickly - no extra layers needed.
