Service Works AW24

From Workwear Roots, to Everyday Wardrobes

Service Works has become one of the most-reached-for brands at Maze. What began as a small South London label creating durable clothing for professional kitchens has grown into a collection of everyday pieces loved well beyond hospitality - relaxed jackets, easy trousers, and simple tees built with comfort and practicality at their core.

Originally designed with chefs in mind, the brand keeps the same ethos running through everything they make: unfussy silhouettes, hard-wearing fabrics, and details that genuinely make a difference - from roomy cuts and elasticated waists to deep pockets and sturdy stitching. They’re clothes created to move, to work, and to be lived in.

This season’s selection brings together some of our favourite styles: soft cord sets in forest green, black, and navy; washed cotton twill jackets and trousers; and classic tees featuring their signature branding. We spent a morning with Amelia, James and Sarah wearing the pieces the way they naturally fall - loose, relaxed, easy - and the simplicity is what stands out. You can see instantly why people love them.

Why Service Works Fits at Maze

We’ve always gravitated towards well-made, functional clothing that doesn’t need overthinking, and Service Works fits neatly into that space. The fabrics feel substantial without being heavy, the colours are timeless, and the shapes are forgiving yet clean. They’re the pieces you throw on for a day in town, a weekend away, or just the school run - practical, comfortable and quietly good-looking.

Although Service Works is technically part of our menswear lineup, the easy cuts and relaxed shapes mean the pieces work brilliantly across genders too - as Amelia and Sarah show so well. The jackets and trousers have that unstructured, shared-wardrobe feel: practical, comfortable and flattering in a way that isn’t tied to one category.

A Thoughtful Choice for the Season

As we head into the gifting months, Service Works offers a particularly easy starting point: jackets that slip into any wardrobe, trousers with that just-right relaxed fit, tees that get worn on repeat. Useful, versatile and well put together - presents that will actually get used.

If you’re shopping for someone who cooks, cycles, creates, or simply loves an easy uniform, these pieces make a brilliant place to start.
