The people at Folk are fastidious about details. They're really passionate about the little things and we love them for it. Working with simple patterns the focus is on the quality, textures and characteristics of the fabrications and trims. They analyse everything, from the thread colour to the pocket lining to the crushed coconut-shell buttons, to ensure that they produce quality, well-designed garments that fit into everyday life.
Founder and designer Cathal McAteer's has created a brand that is often lauded as one of the most exciting and surprising collections to come from British shores since Folk's inception in 2001.
Cathal began his career in menswear when he was a teenager in Glasgow, working his way from the shop floor to his own design studio in London, to having his creations on the rails of some of the top stores in the world. Folk’s timeless yet playful designs can now be seen on those in the know up and down the country, in pubs and art galleries, clubs and coffee shops.
We're chuffed to be in such company and delighted to introduce Folk's menswear and womenswear collections to Maze. Folk favours slow fashion, producing good quality clothes that are made to last.
